The Extremist

Scorpio Moons throw themselves completely into everything they do. When they fall in love, they are infinitely loyal and devoted, and will walk to the ends of the earth for their Love. This also means that they will take longer than any of the other Moon signs to let go of love. Letting go isn’t exactly their strength, but delving to the depths is. If they are hurt deeply, they can't forget it easily.

Their strength is the depth of their emotions, and so their shadow is also the depth of their emotion. When they jump into the waves of their emotions they can feel caught in the undertow as well. They are one of The Sensitive Ones. When they have a healthy outlet to channel their intense emotions they can be a wellspring of creativity and also enjoy a more peaceful emotional life. Scorpio moons have complex needs in their relationships. They want to connect at the deepest level of intimacy in their hearts, bodies and souls, while at the same time also needing their time alone and privacy.

Scorpio Moons are highly intuitive, and operate best when they are able to trust their instincts.  Their focus is directed at what is going on underneath the surface of any situation, and they have no fear of what they may discover there.  They can be natural therapists, able to support their friends and loved ones to explore uncharted emotional territory…to face fears, acknowledge unconscious patterns, or just have a good cathartic cry.

Scorpio Moons go to the extremes emotionally and if they have thrown themselves into the pit of despair it can be frightnening to witness. It’s best to lovingly give them some space. Think of a woman in labor, it may look like the Exorcist for a minute but they will be just fine after. So, these extreme and sensitive souls can be quite cautious about opening up on a deep level. They may or may not ever reveal it, but you can always feel the intensity of their emotion quietly rumbling beneath the surface like a thunderstorm. 

Because Scorpio Moons are so fiercely committed, if anyone questions their actions or motives, even a little, they can be the most defensive of all the moon signs! If you love one of these sensitive souls, try not to take it personally if they defensively overreact in a way that seems totally uncalled for. Remember that the depth of their emotions is both their gift and their challenge. The more trust they can build in their relationships, the more they can break down that barrier of instinctual protection. They long for emotional intimacy, and a safe space in which to truly and deeply connect with another. When they find a match for their sensuality, courage, and devotion, and can find some healthy outlets for their obsessive nature, they can make wonderfully fulfilling and enduring partners.
